Now Boarding ....

Image
Being the Family of the Day is pretty awesome! They personally lead you on to the ship - and you are the first to board, and have your name announced!!  (I wish I had this recorded!) A crew member was nice enough (they all are!) to take our photo! From there we just explored everywhere! The kids club has an open house at the beginning of each cruise so the parents can see everything and the kids can get used to a place before their parents go off for some relaxation!  (or maybe a ride on the AquaDuck!!) photo courtesy of Disney Parks Blog via Google search What is your first thing to do when you get on-board?  Or what's on your "Cruise Bucket List"?? (this photo is def on my next cruise bucket list!!) 'til next time,

One Year Ago

Image
Most people don't remember where they were one year ago - do you? On October 27, 2017 - we were at Port Canaveral for our very first (and life-changing) Disney Cruise!! After checking in, we were (randomly) chosen to be the "Family of the Day" for the Halloween on the High Seas cruise aboard the Disney Dream (10/27 - 10/30/17)! How many cruises have you been on? Were they with Disney or another cruise line? Have you ever been named "Family of the Day"?! I would love to hear from you!! 'til next time,

Always more to learn

Image
Did you ever think you know about something... even a little bit, then have a conversation with a friend and realize there's still so much to learn?? I hope everyone who knows something about the World of Disney feels this way!! I feel like the best part of knowing, and loving, Disney is there's ALWAYS more to learn! I hope I never stop learning and being able to share with all of you! I would love for you to comment with something you know and/or love about Disney!! 'til next time,

Dreams and Fantasies

Image
So we all know we have a Dream, or Fantasy, that is well beyond our financial means. I found out the hard way earlier this year when I was just dying to go on another Disney Cruise... And realized we just couldn't do it. After many months of rearranging our budget and tightening those purse strings, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, or as it is more apt the "light on the horizon", and feel confident we will get on another cruise in 2020, or maybe even before the end of 2019!!  Can you say Star Wars Day at Sea (finally?!) It feels so good to see the possibilities after all our hard work. Now, of course, that doesn't mean we loosen those strings, or the vision will surely fade. Have you ever felt this way? 'til next time,

Just a little hint

A Little Distraction

Image
Last weekend we attended the christening of Tropical Shipping's new vessel: Tropic Freedom ( CONGRATS TROPICAL! ) But the first photo I took was of the Cruise Ship in port!!! Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line out of Port of Palm Beach It may not be a Disney Cruise but I can still appreciate it 😉 'til next time,

It can't just be me!?

Image
Now I know most of you will think I am crazy ( it's ok! ) .... but when you are on a cruise ship for the first time and see endless ocean .... all I could think was: Thank you, Moana! Today's photo was taken from our stateroom porthole (#9160 on the Dream ), on the morning of Sun, Oct 29th, while I enjoyed room service coffee ahhh  before everyone else woke up!! That rainbow looks like it comes straight out of the water! I found my  pot o' gold  on the Disney Dream 🚢 💕 Please tell me I am not alone 😉 'til next time,

CRUISES - Have you Caught the Fever?

Image
Are you addicted to Cruising? Have you ever been on a Cruise? A Disney Cruise?? If you have, you would likely agree with me it only takes 1 to get hooked! We went on our very first Disney Cruise in October 2017 - Halloween on the High Seas - and there has been no looking back ever since!! I was never interested in Cruises - my parents and grandparents went on more than I can remember, even my sister has been on a few.. but I never saw the appeal. Well, when you have a toddler boy who is obsessed with Halloween since forever, and you go to Disney World religiously since he was 1 year old, and you see "Disney Cruise - Halloween theme" you just can't say no! We booked in August to sail in October out of Port Canaveral, FL. I had so much fun researching, planning and chatting with other cruisers that would be on our ship (you can find a Facebook group for every sailing)! I hope you stick around to hear all about how much fun we had! I'd love to

Overload

Have you ever put so much on your plate that you don't know where to start?? Well, Hello! That is me! Some of you may already know me: I am married with 2 kids; a full-time job; Relay for Life Committee Event Leadership Co-Lead, active Team Captain, and Avid Fundraiser Planner; (can I use that as a title?!) blogger (very occasionally) at Healthy Higgins ; and now HERE ! (let's not forget all the dreams I am saving inside that pipe! - you know the one!) I started my Healthy Higgins blog on Aug 29, 2012 (yikes!) and I was starting a healthy lifestyle journey (which I am still walking - slowly). Once I had a baby in 2014, who's not so much a baby anymore, I just lost track and stopped blogging practically altogether (I have a number of drafts sitting unfinished!). However, after discovering the Disney Cruise Line in the summer of 2017, I became hooked ... more on that later, but it's what brings me here today! I want to find a way to share everything I know
